DOG GROOMING SERVICES

***Most dogs should be groomed every 4-6 weeks.  Nails should be trimmed every 2-3 weeks by a professional pet groomer to avoid cutting them too short causing pain. Grinding nails down with dog nail dremel is always best to avoid cutting them too short and to trim them so they are not left sharp.***

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO START GROOMING YOUR PUPPY AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.  THIS WILL HELP YOUR PUPPY GET USED TO THE GROOMING EXPERIENCE AT AN EARLY AGE WHICH  WILL LEAD TO A LESS STRESSFUL AND HAPPIER EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR DOG AND YOUR GROOMER. WHEN DOGS ARE GROOMED ON A REGULAR BASIS, THEY ACCEPT IT AS A WAY OF LIFE AND WHEN THEY ARE ONLY GROOMED ONCE OR A FEW TIMES A YEAR, THEY MAY BE MORE ANXIOUS AND FEARUL OF THE GROOMING EXPERIENCE.

We are a TRUE CAGE-FREE/KENNEL-FREE dog salon so it is important that you are on your way to pick your pet up when we call you as we have scheduled one on one grooming sessions after yours. Many of our dog clients come in by appointment only so that they are the only dog in the salon. They may not get along well with other dogs. If you are not going to be able to pick your pet up within 20 minutes of quoted time frame, please let us know when you book your appointment.  There will be an additional fee for pets picked up after 20 minutes of being notified that your dog has been groomed unless you have made arrangements with us at time of booking.  

Pricing varies depending on coat condition such as matting, style, cooperation of your pet and frequency of grooms.  For a more accurate quote, simply give us a call.  We'll be happy to discuss your pet's specific needs.***

***MATTED DOGS***  If your dog is mostly matted or heavily matted, PLEASE MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A FREE CONSULTATION.  Some mats can be de-matted but some coats will require a shave down.  When a dog is shaved, your dog may have underlying skin conditions such as infections, skin or coat discoloring and  even sores.  These conditions can be caused by long term matting of the coat.  It is always best to make an appointment for a free consultation with your dog so that we can discuss your dog's grooming needs and what we will and will not be able to do.   We believe in doing what's best for your pet and as painlessly as possible.  If your dog is heavily or mostly matted, we may refer you to veterinary hospitals that offer grooming.

***Aggressive, Fearful, Jumpy/Anxious Dogs***  We will be happy to refer you to a veterinary hospital where sedation can be applied to these circumstances.  If your dog is severely fearful, aggressive, or jumpy/anxious for grooming, it may be best to have your dog groomed at a veterinary hospital under sedation or a light sedative for safety reasons.

Haircuts : ***Additional charge for haircuts over 1/2” as there is extra time and work needed to hand dry and for scissor work.***

SHED-LESS TREATMENT (*This is an add-on service.) 

Our amazing shed-less treatment reduces shedding about 80% for up to 4 weeks!  We use a special shampoo and conditioner to loosen dead undercoat, then we use a special brush and high velocity pet blower to remove the loose undercoat that would otherwise be all over your clothing, furniture and home.

You are required to bring proof of the Rabies vaccination at time of drop off.  We prefer a copy of the Rabies vaccination. If you can not bring proof of the Rabies vaccination, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GROOM YOUR DOG.  NO EXCEPTIONS. 

 *We do not perform anal gland expressions. We consider this internal medicine and they should be performed by a licensed veterinarian.

*All Prices given before the groom are an estimate. If your pet is difficult, aggressive, needs special handling, excessively soiled or matted the price may fluctuate accordingly.
